Moonshot Pitch Challenge Applications Open

January 13, 2026 @ 12:00 am - January 25, 2026 @ 11:30 pm

We’re asking students to think beyond the classroom and pitch an idea that solves a real-world problem in 2 minutes or less. Finalists compete for a prize pool of $5,500 during a pitch competition in front of judges and a live audience.

Any idea can be submitted for Moonshot! Decide which category your great idea falls into:

  • Earth: social ideas primarily focused on addressing socio-economic needs & challenges.
  • Orbit: business ideas primarily focused on launching a company offering an exchange of products, services, or information between businesses, or between businesses and customers.
  • Moonshot: dent-in-the-universe ideas primarily focused on solving a seemingly impossible problem. This category focuses on radical solutions, disruptive technology, or futuristic technology.

You do not need to have every technical aspect of the product/technology figured out – nor do you need to have a business model fully developed.

The winner of each category will win $1,500. There are also $500 rewards for crowd favorite and best overall pitch.
